Nature-based resilience in Vanuatu

Over the last few months we have been working with the Scaling up the Pacific Adaptation programme (SUPA), working in Fiji, PNG and now Vanuatu to increase resilience to extreme weather and climate change. Our latest work supported used satellite imagery analysis (NDVI) in the Tagabe Catchment near Port Vila to identify areas where vegetation cover has been reducing overtime, which can be targeted for on-ground catchment revegetation. Last week our team was undertaking field inspections alongside existing revegetation activities. We look forward to this programme being expanded throughout the catchment to support the Tagabe River management.
